Originally acquired by the company fire department of the Chemische Werke Hüls AG in Herne-Wanne. The TroSLF 16 model of the Carl-Metz superstructure deployed as a Löschgruppenfahrzeug (fire truck), designated as LF 16-S (Sonderbauart, special design). With a different superstructure, 560 liters of foam agent and 750 kg of powder were transported, which made this vehicle particularly versatile. The large loudspeaker on the roof served for important announcements to plant employees and the public.
